Fall Master Gardener Volunteer School

Applications for Fall Master Gardener Volunteer School Being Taken

The OSU Extension Office in Knox County is trying something new this fall (at least new to Knox County)- a fall Master Gardener Volunteer School.  Applications are currently being taken for anyone interested in becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV). 

 

Applications are available from the Extension Office and are due August 12, 2011.

 

The cost of the school is $125 for 50 hours of instruction and includes a training/reference manual, instruction costs,  name tages and field trip expenses.

 

Classes will be held weekly on Tuesdays beginning September 13th and run through November 1st from 9 am until 3 pm each week.

 

One day will be spent at the Farm Science Review in London, OH learning about forestry and pond management as well as details on soil.  Other classes will be more traditional but will include hands on exercises as well.
